01 — The nutrient we stopped talking about

Everyone is counting protein. Few are counting fibre.

Fibre feeds the good bacteria in your gut and supports healthy digestion. The easiest place to get more of it is the roti your family already eats every day. If the atta is whole.

02 — What modern atta lost

Built for the shelf. Not for your table.

BRANENDOSPERMGERMthe fibrethe starchoils & vitaminsFIG. 1 — A GRAIN OF WHEAT, IN SECTION

The bran holds most of the grain's fibre.

The germ holds its natural oils and vitamins, and those oils are why whole flour can't sit on a shelf for months.

So high-speed mills separate out much of both. The atta keeps longer. The roti gives you less.

ROLLER-MILLED ATTA

FAST. HOT. STRIPPED.

High-speed steel rollers. Much of the bran and germ goes, so it lasts for months.

GHARAT-MILLED

SLOW. GENTLE. WHOLE.

Stones turned by river water, ground without high heat. All three parts stay together.

03 — The grandmother's way, made easy

She never bought atta. She bought grain.

She kept it at home and took a few weeks' worth to the chakki at a time. The flour came back whole and fragrant, and it was eaten long before it could go stale. The Club keeps her rhythm, with certified organic grain you can trace. You don't carry a thing.

04 — How the Club works

One milling. One month. Only what members order.

  1. 01

    THE MILL OPENS

On a fixed day each month: standard grains and blends, plus what is in season.

  2. 02

    YOU ORDER

Only what your family will eat this month.

  3. 03

    WE GRIND ONLY THAT

Slow stone-ground after orders close. Nothing milled ahead. Nothing in a warehouse.

  4. 04

AT YOUR DOOR IN 7–10 DAYS

Then again next month. Twelve millings a year.

05 — The gharat and the grain

Turned by river water. Never rushed.

THE GHARAT

A traditional Himalayan water mill. Flowing water turns the stones slowly, so the grain is gently ground without high heat. Whole grain goes in. Whole grain comes out.

THE GRAIN

Certified organic, every kilo. Grown on our own farms in Kotabagh, or sourced from certified organic supply chains we trust. No chemical pesticides. No synthetic fertilisers. A record of where every batch came from.

Jaivik Bharat organic certification mark

Certified Organic. NPOP Scope Certificate issued by USOCA under Certificate Number ORG/SC/2512/001258.

A note from the founder

“Somewhere along the way, we let factories decide what goes into our roti. They chose shelf life. We are choosing the whole grain, milled fresh, the way it was done for centuries. If that is how you want to feed your family, there is a seat at the mill for you.”
